ECTOPLASMIC 3D SWIMMING
This was an exhibition shown in 2004 which
was specifically designed to be shown in a series of large light boxes
that line the exterior of The Art Gallery at the Nanyang Technological
University in Singapore. The boxes should look to the viewer as if they
are filled with water and the swimmer, who is approximately life size,
is pressing against the window towards the viewer. To see the works
correctly 3D glasses should be worn. When the glasses are worn the
figure becomes 3D in parts which heightens the illusion.
